How would you like to get access to the coolest wine awards presentation to be held in Australia this year, and hang with Australia’s trendsetting winemakers?

This is your chance to join the Young Guns of Wine award finalists – visionary, Australian winemakers currently making some of the country’s most exciting wines – as the 2011 awards are revealed.

A+ Australian Wine YGOW Trade Tasting

Be warned though, this is not a traditional wine trophy presentation event. No pomp, no ceremony, this is very much a celebratory occasion. Held cocktail style on the rooftop of Madame Brussels in Melbourne’s CBD, with canapés and the 22 wines from the 2011 finalists all on for your tasting pleasure.

Who will take home the People's Choice and the 2011 Young Gun of Wine? You could be there in person to find out.

As proud supporters of the 2011 Young Guns of Wine Festival, A+ Australian Wine is excited to offer the chance to win one of two double passes to the Young Guns of Wine Awards. To be in with a shot, simply sign in or register (so we can contact you if you are a winner) and post a comment below on why you’d love to attend the awards.

Be sure to check out the full Young Guns of Wine festival program, of which includes a number of events held in tandem with some of Melbourne's most iconic and idiosyncratic places to eat and drink. 15-22nd August 2011. Click here for the details.

Sipping world-class wines on a rooftop bar in the middle of winter - it doesn't get much more Melbourne than that! What a fantastic way to say cheers to Australia's hottest winemakers.
