Rosé Revolution has arrived! To kick off the Summer-long celebration of dry, textural, savoury Rosé, many wineries and venues around Australia will be hosting parties and Tweet-ups on November 10th.
As one of the instigators of Rosé Revolution in 2010, Leanne De Bortoli says “There is something delightful about pouring a glass of truly beautiful dry Rosé and enjoying what real Rosé is about. I have had a love affair with Rosé for some years now and believe it is the perfect wine to go with the Australian lifestyle. With the very impressive selection of Australian Rosé on offer now I believe its time has come”.
Although these Rosés are serious wines, we don’t need to take them too seriously, so a range of fun ‘Rose Soirees’ are taking place. Dress in pink (optional), and taste away.
The Tweet Ups will allow wine lovers to taste a huge array of Rosés, meet some of the winemakers and engage in a global Twitter discussion about their favourite styles. Just don’t forget to use the hashtag #roserev.
Activities will be happening throughout summer so check out the website http://rosewinerevolution.com/ for some of the great events in your city, open to all. If you can’t make it along to a venue on 10th November, but are on twitter, buy your favourite dry Rosé (some suggested participants are on the website) http://rosewinerevolution.com/supporters.html) and tweet along in the Australia wide tweet up from 7.30-9pm AEST using #roserev.
